JOYE Gala 2023
The Jurarim Organization for Youth Excellence (JOYE) is pleased to announce the 10th Annual JOYE Education Gala. Your presence will be highly appreciated. Each year, we host a gala as our signature fundraiser. As with all donations to JOYE, the proceeds from our annual gala will go directly to provide the funding and tools necessary for students to succeed not only in the classroom, but outside of the classroom as well. On Saturday, November 4th, we will JOYEfully celebrate our 12 years of service to youth excellence. You are cordially invited to support our annual gala, as well as attend the event. This year, we are celebrating our 12th anniversary. As we look back over the past 12 years, we are proud of our efforts and growth. Our notable programs are:
Education Sponsorship:
- Education assistance for over 600 students, which includes tuition and fees
- Prepaid meal plans
- Providing school supplies, clothing, and hygiene products
Education Enrichment:
- JOYE Tech Program – free technology, STEAM, and life skills training for children
- Free tutoring and mentoring
- Provision of sporting goods, equipment, and access to skills development
Community Development:
- Providing vegetable and fruit seeds for nourishment, benefiting over 3,000 families
- Creating access to clean water by building wells and infrastructures for water supply
Thanks to support from our generous donors, we accomplished all of this and more. As a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, we rely on contributions from corporate sponsorships and individual donors. Funds raised during our annual gala event support up to 80% of our education projects. However, there has been an increase in demand for our programs and support, while the donations received by JOYE have remained stagnant. Due to this imbalance, JOYE is currently at risk of not meeting our fundraising goals. If this imbalanced trend continues, JOYE will no longer be able to continue to provide the same level of educational funding and holistic support for those we already serve, much less for any new programs.
